Client Testimonials

The ordering and design process was both collaborative and simple, meaning the outcome was easy to reach but way beyond our expectations. We received the kit in plenty of time for our charity ride and everyone commented on the great quality. 10/10 Ciovita.

It was a real pleasure working with Dean and the team at CIOVITA on the Tor Divide 2025 event kit. From the first chat through to delivery, the whole process was smooth and collaborative. The quality and finish of the kit were spot on, and the feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive. It’s always a win when people not only love how something looks, but also want to keep wearing it long after the event.

Frequently Asked Questions

Get all the information you need about your custom order. Find out about our production, costs, processes and more.

What are the design possibilities?

Most of our cycling and triathlon garments can be fully customised using high-quality sublimation printing, giving you freedom with colours, patterns, gradients and sponsor logos. Some pieces such as selected bib panels or Fusion products have defined branding areas, which your custom specialist will explain when you choose your range.

If you have a clear idea, a rough sketch or simply a mood, our Creative Studio will help you turn it into a coherent kit design.

Can you help us with the design, or do we need a designer?

You do not need to arrive with a finished design. We help you shape a clear brief, then our in-house Creative Studio develops your artwork and layout. The standard custom package includes concept development plus up to three refinement rounds to get everything right before you sign off.

If you have an existing brand CI or designer, we are happy to collaborate with them too.

What file format do you need for logos and artwork?

To ensure sharp, professional printing, we require logos in high-resolution vector formats such as .ai, .eps or editable .pdf.

Raster files like .jpg or .png can be used for reference, but if they need to be redrawn into vector there may be an additional artwork fee and it can affect timelines. Your specialist will let you know in advance if this applies.

Can we get a copy of the final design files?

Yes. Once your order is confirmed, we can supply final flat artwork or mock-ups of your kit on request. Editable production files remain on our system so we can manage colour, scaling and technical details internally, but you will always have a clear visual reference of your approved design.

Will the CIOVITA logo appear on our garments?

Yes. A discreet CIOVITA mark is included on all custom garments. It is integrated carefully into the design so that your club or brand remains the hero.

Need help with your size?

View our fit guide page here.

Which products can we customise?

CIOVITA Custom covers a full performance range.

On-bike: jerseys, bib shorts, shorts, speedsuits, tri suits, jackets, gilets, base layers and accessories.

Trail and Motion: trail jerseys, baggies, active or tech tees, vests and training tights.

Off-bike and lifestyle: hoodies, tees, crewnecks, caps and accessories.

Your specialist will guide you through the best options for your discipline, climate and budget.

Do you offer men’s, women’s and junior sizing?

Yes. Most of our core cycling products are available in men’s and women’s fits, and we offer selected junior styles such as kids’ jerseys and shorts. We will confirm available size runs for each garment when we prepare your quote.

Can we try on sizes before we order?

Where possible, we provide sizing samples or fit guidance so your team can choose confidently. Options may include size runs at our showroom, sample sets via your rep or detailed size charts with guidance on how to measure.

Your custom specialist will advise what is available in your region.

Where is the kit made?

All CIOVITA custom apparel is designed and manufactured in our own state-of-the-art facility in Cape Town, South Africa, using premium Italian fabrics and vertically integrated production. This gives us full control over quality, fit and finishing from the first stitch to the final check.

What is sublimation printing?

Sublimation is a process where your artwork is dyed directly into the fabric rather than sitting on top of it. This means:

  • Colours remain vibrant over time
  • The fabric stays breathable and lightweight
  • Logos and patterns do not crack or peel

Some products use a combination of sublimation and vinyl or transfer branding, depending on the fabric and construction. We will advise you per product.

How much does custom kit cost?

Custom pricing is based on garment type, product tier and quantity. Larger orders unlock better unit pricing.

The easiest way to get an accurate view is to create an instant online quote or speak with a custom specialist who can help you compare options and price points for your team.

What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

Minimums vary by product category and region. Your instant quote tool and your custom specialist will show the current minimums for each style and advise how to handle top-ups or special sizes.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes. Once you are happy with your quote and ready to proceed, a 50% deposit is required before we begin final artwork and production. The balance is due before dispatch unless other terms have been agreed.

How long does a custom order take?

A typical custom order follows this approximate timing:

  • Design and approvals: about 2 weeks including your three refinement rounds
  • Production: about 4 weeks from final artwork approval
  • Packing and dispatch: about 1 week

We recommend planning for around 7 weeks from initial design brief to dispatch. Your specialist will confirm current timelines when you book your slot as lead times can vary seasonally.

When does production start?

Production begins only after:

  • Your final artwork has been approved
  • Sizes and quantities have been confirmed
  • Your deposit and customer details are in place

This ensures we manufacture exactly what you have signed off.

When do we submit our sizes?

You will confirm sizes after your design is approved and before we move into production. Your custom specialist will provide a clear deadline and a sizing template so you can gather all information from your team in one go.

What is the standard delivery time once production is complete?

After production and final quality checks, orders are usually dispatched within 48 to 72 hours. Transit times then depend on your delivery country and chosen shipping method. Your specialist will provide an estimated delivery window once your order is confirmed.

Can we mix men’s and women’s sizes in one order?

Yes. You can combine men’s, women’s and (where available) junior sizes in the same order as long as each product meets the applicable minimum quantity.

Can we reorder later or top up with a few extra pieces?

Yes. Once your design is on file, reorders are straightforward. We keep your approved artwork and product details on record so you can reorder the same kit or request small updates to colours, sponsors or layout. Minimums for reorders may differ from first orders. Your specialist will help you structure these in the most cost-effective way.

Is there a warranty on custom kit?

We stand behind the quality of our garments. If you experience a manufacturing fault or quality issue, please contact us with photos and your order details. Our team will assess each case individually and work with you on the appropriate solution.

How should we care for our custom kit?

To protect the fabrics and colours, we recommend:

  • Cold machine wash with mild detergent
  • Wash inside-out and avoid fabric softeners
  • Line-dry in the shade and do not tumble dry
  • Avoid ironing directly on printed areas

Following these instructions will help your kit stay looking sharp for longer.

Who do we speak to if we need help during the process?

From your first enquiry to final delivery, you will have access to a dedicated custom specialist and our support team. We are here to answer questions, guide decisions and keep you updated as your order moves through design, production and delivery.
